About this site

The AI API Cost Calculator exists because AI pricing pages answer "how much per token?" but never "how much will my product cost per month?". We built the tool we wished existed when budgeting our own AI features: one place to model users, tokens, caching, infrastructure and margin — and compare providers side by side.

How estimates are built

The calculator multiplies your usage assumptions by per-million-token prices stored in an editable data file, applies cache discounts and your safety margin, and adds any infrastructure costs you enter. The math is deterministic and open — nothing is hidden. Prices must always be verified against each provider's official pricing page; we clearly flag when data is sample data.
